Basic Tree Inspection

The Basic Tree Inspection course is a one day course aimed at providing basic knowledge to be able to identify a hazardous tree, determine the level of risk and then decide on an appropriate course of action.

This course is for a variety of individuals and organisations such as Parish and Town Councils, landowners, estate workers, volunteer park / tree wardens or anyone who has a responsibility for trees either in the course of their work or as a landowner.

From this course you will gain knowledge of:

• the legal and safety implications of hazardous trees;
• maintaining your own health and safety while carrying out Basic Tree Survey and Inspection;
• recognise hazardous trees;
• determine level of risk;
• decide on an appropriate course of action;
• collect and maintain adequate information; and
• recognise your own limitations and when you need to seek further advice.
